According to the article “AIDS-not Someone Else’s Problem” from “Making Connections”, AIDS was considered as one of the most worldwide problem. AIDS began to appear in the late 1970s in the United States and finally got a name in 1982. Most patients were young, white homosexual men and they became weaker and weaker and died. For three reasons, the United States didn’t respond too much to AIDS. At the same time, scientists tried to find some information about AIDS. They found out the cause of it and how it transferred. After 1984, AIDS became a global problem. Other groups of people like teenagers, women and so on got AIDS. It also can be found around the whole world. So every country put a lot of money to do the research of finding the cure to AIDS. But it didn’t have any effective advance. The drugs so far can’t cure AIDS. There are some tips from scientists that can help prevent getting AIDS but it still didn’t work so well.
